THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into by and between Front Range K-9 Academy LLC (and/or any contract, associate, or apprentice trainer associated with Front Range K-9 Academy LLC) and the “Client” (replying recipient of this email).
THIS CONTRACT is an addendum to the traditional CONTRACT & LIABILITY RELEASE and does not replace or refute the terms set down in the traditional CONTRACT & LIABILITY RELEASE. Both contracts are required for aggression control training.
If, following evaluation, the Client’s dog is deemed to be aggressive toward other dogs, humans, or other animals, an Aggression Control Program ("ACP") may be recommended by Front Range K9 Academy LLC.
If an ACP is agreed upon, it is agreed by the parties to this contract that Front Range K9 Academy LLC has explained, and the Client understands that:
The purpose of an ACP is to teach the client how to manage the aggression in a way that increases the safety of the public, the Client, and the dog, and Front Range K9 Academy LLC reserves the right to terminate training at any point, for any reason including:
Danger to the trainer(s) and or demo dog(s)
Danger to the Client’s dog
Danger to the public
Danger to the Client
Client non-compliance
Further, it is agreed by the parties to this contract that Front Range K9 Academy has explained, and the Client understands that:
An ACP does NOT guarantee the safety or reliability of Client’s dog, or any person, dog or animal coming into contact with Client’s dog, and
An ACP does NOT eliminate the aggressive tendencies of Client’s dog, and
An ACP does NOT release Client from any and all responsibilities or liabilities connected to owning an aggressive dog, and
The ACP techniques, containment methods, etc., as described by Front Range K9 Academy LLC during the training program must be continued and maintained for the life of the dog by the Client, and failure to do so could result in loss of property or life.
Finally, it is agreed by the parties to this contract that Front Range K9 Academy has explained, and the Client understands that:
Due to the hazards of working with animals of varying temperaments, Client shall be advised that Front Range K9 Academy agents may use physical force in the form of spray deterrents and/or stun or tazer devices on Client's dog, should Client's dog aggressively attack any dog or person while on the premises. While the deterrent devices used are not designed to cause lasting harm, Client recognizes harm or even death could result, and Client absolves Front Range K9 Academy and its representatives of any liability or fault, should any harm come to Client's dog as a result of our use of attack-deterrent devices.
This written CONTRACT constitutes the entire agreement between Front Range K-9 Academy LLC and Client and may not be changed except by a writing signed by Front Range K-9 Academy LLC and Client.
Client has read the above CONTRACT and AGREES TO ITS TERMS. NOTE: Beginning training or counseling with or without a reply to this message constitutes consent and agreement to the terms set down below.
