Down Stay Prerequisites:  Basic Obedience, Down, Down Correction Proceed with the down stay in the same way we have worked the sit stay.  Increase time and distance to 6 ft, 1 minute.  Do not add distractions at this time. If the dog breaks, return it directly back to where it started from, give a swift sit correction and then a swift down correction and walk away.   DO NOT REPEAT YOUR COMMANDS.
