Down Stay
Prerequisites: Basic Obedience, Down, Down Correction
Proceed with the down stay in the same way we have worked the sit stay. Increase time and distance to 6 ft, 1 minute.
Do not add distractions at this time.
If the dog breaks, return it directly back to where it started from, give a swift sit correction and then a swift down
correction and walk away.
DO NOT REPEAT YOUR COMMANDS.
****REMINDER***** FOR DISTANCE TRAINING IN LEVEL 2, You will need: 100 feet of yellow polypro HOLLOW
BRAID rope (home depot, lowes, ace hardware, etc. all carry it for about 10 bucks a bag), plus 3 snap hook
leash clips for next week's distance training
